Katsucon aka SickCon!!!

So I'm sitting in my Photoshop class wondering why I have to take it in the first place, so I figured I'd post my Katsucon blog. Hmmm, what to say about Katsucon. It was definitely SickCon (and not in a good way), but also return of LineCon as well. Play by plays beneath the cut.

Overall, the con could have been much better with more events and better space. There was literally no room to move around or to take decent photos. The only thing that made the con enjoyable were the people, of course. Shout Outs go to the Roomates: Regena, Ryan (sorry you couldn't stay ><), Jamme and everyone else whom I've forgotten the names of. You guys were awesome. Big shout outs to Nikko! I'm so sorry that you couldn't make it =/. My favorite party monster Kyle, ALL THE COOL KIDS AT THE MASSIVE SOUL EATER SHOOT!! Brandon for hanging with me and being sweet. that one kid, for trying to make me jealous (next time try with a girl that doesn't look like a dude^^). Darin and Larry, sorry I didn't get to chill with you all as much. Devin, it was good seeing you again! Also, all the new friends I met at the con!

Anime USA 08 aka LulzCon!!

Hello everyone! It's me again reporting back on the crazy shenanigans that went on at, you guessed it, Anime USA! As always, it's better if I break it down by day, likes and dislikes, then favorite photos that I took. Anyways, here me goooo =]

Final Verdict: I loved Anime USA. It was probably the only con that I could say I actually did right. I went to a lot of events and gatherings, met a lot of cool people and got to debut all of my cosplays! First week of college

Hey random people of Livejournal.
Well it's 12:08 am and I have classes in the morning, but of course I can't sleep. I'm doing homework and I hate it. First day of college. I hated it. It was boring and very annoying. All they did was talk talk talk at me. It made me want to fall asleep. I had Photography 1 and English 102. The Photography class looks fun. Definitely gonna be a new thing to work with film, since I've been working with digital for the bulk to my photography career. I'm gonna learn all the good crap. Didn't really meet anyone,but I saw a few people from my old high school. Good times. English was some shit. ALL we're gonna be doing is writing, and writings about ridiculous shit. Arguments. WHY DO WE NEED TO WRITE ON THAT!? Boggles my mind. Anyways, tomorrow I have Calculus and Media Appreciation. I'm not looking forward to Math, but MA should be fun. We'll seeeeeee.
T-mode in one day! I'm excited kinda. Going with Sarah and we're gonna have fun! I need that in my life after recent shit. Anyways, that's all for now. Pointless blog is pointless.

Hello to my 3 or 4 people who actually read this thing. Um Um Um lesse, first I have updates on my cosplay! I just got in and styled both my Rhode wig and my Shinobu. Rhode didn't really need styling since I got a New Punk....just need to fluff it up to hold the spikes.

Cosplay Updates/Animu

Well hello thar. It's been idk, a week since I last blogged and since then I've been working on, you guessed it, COSPLAY. Yep. I have 3 costumes that all need to be done by October 3, so I can put finishing touches and whatnots on them. I don't want to be down to the wire like I was for Otakon. This time around, I'm working on Shinobu from No More Heroes, Tsubaki from Soul Eater and Rhode Camelot from D. Gray Man. I think I'm off to a good start so far. CHECKLIST

yeah....I decided on easy costumes with major focusing on small details because of a) time constraints and b) these characters are awesome. I also purchased a Natsuo costume from Loveless for a pretty decent price, so I'll be wearing that to AUSA as well! In total, I think I'll be wearing 6 costumes (4 new + 2 old)
I think everyone should watch Soul Eater. That show is awesome...even though there are some HATERS (*cough*ALY*cough*) of the show. I love the animation. It reminds me a lot of a comic book style of art, which is always refreshing to see a new art style. Also, the anime is very similar to the manga...that's always a good thing. That and, both the manga and anime aren't that far, so it's easy to catch up. Anyyyywhoooo~ I'm going for now. I may get motivated and take progress shots of my cosplay workings....maybe. OTAKON 08 aka Line Con!

This is my first time actually blogging about a convention but I must say, the convention itself was pretty shitty but the people made it awesome. I saw most of the people I wanted to see and I had some fun cosplaying and hanging out with my friends.

Overall, I enjoyed the con. Otakon has gotten really uppity with their rules and regulations, so I don't even think I want to come back. The only reason I had such a good time was because of the cosplay and my friends. I want to shout out to my wonderful roomies Ryan, Nikko, Lauren, X, Taivon and Darin, you guys made the weekend worth bearing. Mars and the whole Bmore crew, Sparks, Pyro, Ebony all of you guys. My Coscom friends, Otapat, Bawx, Israel (aka Stripper) and everyone else that I met at Otakon. Also, Kyle, Trevor, Toki, Larry, Jeffro and all the VA people I don't get to see all the time. Otakon would have been shit without you all.

I keep mysteriously getting posted on 4chan....what fucking for? A goddamn mystery to me. It's funny though, because I like to femmeanon there but I don't think I'd EVER post myself. Anons are scary and mean XDDD
anyways...back to business. Today sucked. I had to work from 9 to 3, which wasn't too bad because money is money. So I got home and my mom wants me to watch the kid from across the street. Usually, I'm none too thrilled about this but, the reason being was my mom going to pick up my new car. Yes, you heard right, MY NEW CAR. It's kinda sexy. a 2009 Hyundai Sonata. I loves it. Yoko, Animu and even MOAR cosplay goodness

I've been working my ass off on cosplay to finish them all before Otakon. One feet that I'm proud to say that I'm almost done with is that FUCKING YOKO GUN! Seriously, I can't tell you how goddamn happy I am that the only thing left to do is fucking paint that thing. I'm also finished with my Nell sword, which only took like a day of painting and modifying. Mixing paints is fun. Hope to do it again someday. My list has been altered AGAIN! I got suckered into a The World Ends with You group, which I later found out AFTER I got the costume done, that the group was for Anime USA. Because I have the costume anyway, and I convinced Ryan to be Beat, I'm still going to wear it. It's so fuckin cute.

Yahooo!! first post officially on LJ. I should start posting more often.
I've been working nonstop on cosplay to pass the time until Otakon. My official lineup for Otakon goes as
- Yoruichi (BlEACH)
- Nell Tu (BLEACH)
- Yoko (Gureen Lagann)
- Miniskirt Roy Mustang (Fullmetal Alchemist)
- Agito/Akito (Air Gear)
All of them are finished, but there are still little tweaks to be done to each costume. I'm really happy with how the boots came out on my Yoko
I looooove them. I wish it has the zipper, but I love them as is. Hmmmm, it's 3:46 in the morning and here I am blogging about nothng at all. I'm bored. and there is nothing really to talk about.
